Tal Navarro - Life adventure
An Internet website she liked brought Tal Navarro to a Caribbean Islands. Now she lives there with her French husband, missing the Israeli radio station, lightning candles every Friday and proud to be an Israeli representative all over the world.

Who am I?
My name is Tal Navarro.
I am a 26 years old Israeli girl, born in NYC. When I turned a year old my parents returned to Israel with me. I spent my whole childhood in Israel. I served three years as a lieutenant in the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) and than I spread my wings to taste the world.
I decided to leave Israel and visit NYC. I worked in a travel agency for two years and then took a life changing trip to India. I then came back to NYC and continued to travel the U.S.A.
Where do I live?
I live on the island of Saint Martin. Located in the northern Caribbean.
When and how did I get here?
Four and a half years from the day I left Israel, I discovered an amazing website on the Internet that was created by a very talented French kitesurfer. He was living on the island of Anguilla and is the main founder of www.tropical-paradise.net.
We contacted each other via Emails and after two weeks, I decided to take the chance and fly to meet this mystery guy on the unknown Island... Since I landed on Anguilla and met Thierry - we have been together ever since. I moved to live in Anguilla on November 2006 and the love and friendship continues to get stronger every day. We got married recently on one of the most amazing beaches in the Caribbean (Meads Bay) and than moved to Saint Martin Island.
What am I doing for living?
I work with Thierry in the graphic design area, we design magazines, brochures, flyers, websites, etc. Also I am studying graphic design programs, internet marketing programs and more. Also I do the Extreme sport - kite surfing.
What makes me feel Israeli?
Everything.
During my staying in U.S.A and my world traveling, There's no prouder than me being Israeli. Everything not connected to my home - food, culture, human behavior - everything that is different from where I grew up, makes me feel Israeli.
To be an Israeli is my biggest proud out of Israel, I feel like Israeli representative and proud to explain to anyone who would asks about the Mezuza on my house door, the army service I did, the food, the culture and history.
What do I miss most:
First of all my family.... very much! My friends, Israeli Rock shows, driving on the Israeli roads. In NYC I didn't drive (there are Subways) and in Anguilla we have a tiny jeep, but the distances are very short as the island is very small.
I miss going on long distance, drives with the Israeli radio station in the background and my sisters calling me on the phone and just gabbing together
What would I take with me from here and bring to Israel?
I would take the peaceful setting of the Caribbean and the opportunities from NYC. In this city, you can develop relationships and connections with strong people in business, experience things that I would have never dreamed of in Israel and enjoy a collection of cultures from all over the world.
In Anguilla you have peacefulness, amazing beaches and I never lock the door as the island is very safe.

We have the best beaches for kite-surf. Beautiful, comfortable and wild for riding here... Also Tropical Paradise located here, in Anguilla and has the BEST prices on Cabrinha equipment, which is awesome!!!
Scuba diving in SXM:
amazing adventure, huge turtles, beautiful reef, sinked boat, dolphins and more... I dived 12 times!!!
