Hagit Oz, twenty-eight year old from Holon, 1.72m of athleticism, as if someone used a mold of the perfect athletic body when creating her. In 2003, she was ranked third place in the world in the sport – kite surfing. The Kite Board Pro Tour – KPWT, held in New-Caledonia (first place in terms of air time), Turkey, Brazil and France. Israeli champion for 2001 – 2004 in the free-style women's category, she was born a sportswoman and has received a purely athletic education in different sports clubs. Where does this idea come from, to come to the beach on such a stormy winter day, with a full kite-surfing kit, in your surfing suit?
The sea was a refuge for me. I would look at the horizon, understanding that there are no limits to aspirations. I saw windsurfers in the Dolfinarium beach and I understood that I really want to windsurf, and so my sister surprised me on my 16th birthday, and gave me a windsurfing course as a present. Since then, my life has not been the same – I discovered a world I was fascinated with. I would go in at dusk, and get out when it became dark. I remember the club manager would shout at me from the beach to get out of the water, and I simply did not want to.....
