Anguilla Beaches
The powdery white beaches, aqua blue sea and incredible sunsets are among a few of the things that you will remember while visiting. See for yourself....

Beach sunset vacation and fantastic sandy
white beach
A - Long Bay
Northwest coast. Very quiet. Swimming good. Fantastic good
spot Kitesurfing in a north or northeast wind. Access a bit
of a challenge. Near Temenos and Oliviers.

A - Mead's Bay
Northwest coast, west of Long Bay. Quiet. Swimming good. Very
good spot for surfing and Kitesurfing in a north or northeast
wind.

A - Barnes Bay
Northwest coast, west of Meads Bay. After Meads Bay, my favorite
beach. Good swimming and snorkeling.

B - Rendezvous Bay
Southwest coast. Good swimming. Over a mile of beach. A number
of watersports are offered here including various types of
sailboats and kayaks.

B - between Rendezvous
and Cove Bay
Southwest coast. Good swimming. Front of ex Sonesta Resort.
Very cool but many reef. forget kite !

B - Cove Bay
Southwest coast. My "home spot". Very good spot
for kitesurfing with an east or southeast wind. A mile of
beach and sand dunes. Good for swimming and walking.

B - Sherrick's Bay
Good swimming & snorkelling. Nearby West End Salt Pond
with bird life. Restaurants nearby (southwestern end of island).
C - Little Harbour
South of Anguilla. Several "virgin" beaches, good
spot to see bird life. May be a good place to kitesurf, but
be aware that there is a shallow reef across the mouth of
the bay.

C - Beach
sunset vacation: Round Rock Bay
The Round Rock Bay area is ideal if you're looking for a desert beach.
Great views to St. Martin! South East.

D - Sandy Hill Bay
Small beach good for swimming, for snorkelling, for walking
with cliffs, caves and Long Salt Pond to look out for .

E - Savannah Bay
North of Sandy Hill Bay. Very "wild" good spot for
surfing and Kitesurfing by East wind. Offshore reef good for
snorkelling (south east coast). Click on it to see larger.

E - Windward Point
Bay
Very "wild" good spot for surfing and Kitesurfing
by East wind. Very rough. Beautiful scenery (northern end
of island).

H - Limestone Bay
Looking for an out-of-the-way beach that is still near The Valley... Limestone
Bay is about 100 yards of scenic perfection on a rocky coast. Ideal for picnics,
there is even a tree or two for shade (see the photo). It was calm and swimmable
when we took these pictures. North West.

I - Little Bay
Wowow.. with Meads Bay, it's really my favorite spot...
Little Bay is on the north coast between Crocus Bay and Shoal
Bay, not far from The Valley. The easiest way to get there
is from Crocus Bay, where you can hire Calvin (or any fisherman)
to take you there in 5 minutes (about $10 round trip). Little
Bay is protected by a cove of high cliffs. It has no surf
and the snorkelling is excellent. Bring snacks, drinks and
beach towels and make a picnic of your trip.

I - Benzies Bay &
Katouche Bay
This bay is noted for a number of things. It is the start
of the Katouche Valley rainforest, it is never crowded, it is a fun place to
explore or have a picnic, and it is a good place to look for fossil sealife.

J - Sandy Ground
What many people think of as a typical Caribbean beach, a
beach that we could see 10 or 20 years ago. Here you will
find many local fishing boats, several well known beach bars,
dominoes games, and an amazing sunset every day. Home beach
to the local sailing boats, and starting point for most of
the races. Excellent harbor for charter yachts. Best place
for beach sunset vacation.

Other offshore islands:
Prickly Pear
About 4 miles north of Anguilla. A quite, uninhabited island
right out of the pages of "Robinson Crusoe". Swimming
very good. Very good spot for kitesurfing in a north or northeast
wind, but be aware of shallow reefs.
