Tropical
Paradise Meets Las Vegas
Tropical Paradise Meets Las Vegas... This
Time, My Buddy Judd and his lovely wife went to Las Vegas
for few days. Enjoy their story...
For those of you looking for the complete
opposite of the peace and tranquility of Anguilla , Las
Vegas is your best bet! Non stop action weather its gambling , clubbing
at the well known Studio 54 ,dinning or catching one or their
amazing shows, Las Vegas is full of things to do and see.
During our stay at the MGM Grand hotel we had a chance to
see KÀ by Cirque du Soleil . KÀ by
Cirque du Soleil Las Vegas combines acrobatic performance
and martial arts with technically dazzling special effects
and ever-changing performance spaces that conjure an entire
empire on stage. Experience premium Las Vegas entertainment
in a captivating display of gravity-defying physical feats.
A must see.
We also had tickets to see UFC 71 which
is any UFC fan’s
dream. Rampage vs. Liddell The Results : Rampage caught Chuck
on the chin a minute forty-seven seconds into the first round
with a powerful right hook that snapped his head around and
immediately put Liddell on his back. A lot of people were
disappointed and wish that big John McCarthy didn’t
stop the fight. I still say even with a few extra minutes
it wouldn’t of made a difference.
Dinning was extraordinary , weather
your in the mood for steak, Italian , or sushi MGM has it all. Our personal
favorite is SHIBUYA the Japanese cuisine. Some restaurants
do have a dress code, be sure to ask upon making reservations.
If you have had your in door casino,
fix, Vegas has plenty of action outdoors too. I suggest
you wear some real comfortable shoes, as there is a lot
of walking and shopping to do. The strip which is 3 miles
long is packed with high end designers such as Gucci, Parada,
Armani and world famous hotels such as Ceasar’s Place,
The
One of the most historical and spectacular things to visit
do in Vegas is the Hover Dam and the Grand Canyon one of
the 7 wonders of the world.
Hover Dam is a testimony to a country's ability to construct
monolithic projects in the midst of adverse conditions. Built
during the Depression; thousands of men and their families
came to Black Canyon to tame the Colorado River. It took
less than five years, in a harsh and barren land, to build
the largest dam of its time. Now, years later, Hoover Dam
still stands as a world-renowned structure. The Dam is a
National Historic Landmark and has been rated by the American
Society of Civil Engineers as one of America's Seven Modern
Civil Engineering Wonders.
We were fortunate enough to be able to see
the whole Grand Canyon on a tiny air craft. The view was
breath taking, the plane ride however we highly advise those
taking this tour on a less windy day… or some of you might be leaving
with a “party bag”. Tours such as this
one and others can be arranged with the concierge of your
hotel.
All in all Vegas was a great action packed
vacation…after
5 days we were ready to come back to Anguilla , our peace and
tranquility. Until the next time Tropical Paradise meets
another destination, live life to its fullest and be grateful
for every day.
